Facebook yesterday filed an amended S-1 registration statement (link here), that provides a targeted initial public offering (IPO) price range of between $28.00 and $35.00 per share. At $35.00 per share, this implies an IPO market capitalization of nearly $75 billion. Note however that the IPO market cap does not include the effect of options and restricted stock grants, which on a fully-diluted basis would drive the valuation much higher. The IPO is expected to begin trading on Friday, May 18.
