My work experience includes being a private equity advisor (advising clients on investments in buyout, growth equity, venture capital and private credit funds, direct and co-investments, and secondary transactions), a corporate finance attorney (with an emphasis on private equity and venture capital transactions, mergers & acquisitions, fund formation and general corporate matters), a private equity fund-of-funds manager, and an investment banker (telecom and media industries).
I am the founder and Managing Director of Campton Private Equity Advisors (www.camptonpe.com). The views expressed in this Blog are my own and do not necessarily reflect the views of Campton Private Equity Advisors.
I am also Of Counsel to the law firm Futterman Dupree Dodd Croley Maier LLP (www.fddcm.com), where I advise clients on venture capital and private equity transactions, fund formation, mergers & acquisitions and general corporate matters.
I have also consulted with private companies on a variety of issues, including developing business plans, offering memoranda and financial projections, advising on fundraising strategy, preparing the company for a sale, and other strategic matters.
I have an MBA in Finance with honors from UCLA Anderson, a JD from UC Hastings College of Law and a BA in Economics from UCLA (Go Bruins!).
I have taught courses on private equity and investment banking at the MBA program at San Francisco State University, and I taught a course on business law at Santa Monica College.
