Businessweek.com recently featured an article "It's Always Sunny in Silicon Valley" that discusses some of the characteristics of the valley that lead to such an assessment. According to the article, reasons: a bias towards optimism, solid revenues by tech companies in the valley, strong initial public offerings by companies such as LinkedIn, Pandora Media and Zynga, the wealth created by these IPOs.
